A few weeks ago, I posted on my author page on Facebook about Major Bill White.
Major White is a survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima. He received a purple heart during that battle and retired 30 years after his injury.
He had requested Valentines Day cards from anyone that would like to send him one. So, my kids and I got to work!
Pulling out the tub of scrapbook paper, stickers and stencils, we each made a card to send to Major White. To see them so eager to make something for someone they don’t even know makes a momma proud!
Do you remember making homemade cards and handwritten letters? Because I think it’s time to start bringing them back!
Have a wonderful Valentines Day! Share the love and make someone smile today!
